Presentations and evaluation

The main content will be direct feedback on your projects. Unfortunately, we will not have enough time to present all, nevertheless, on-the-site presetations will certainly give us enough space to reflect. Therefore please be ready to present:



Audio:

William Shakespeare - The Taming of the Shrew Act IV, Scene IV      Dufek, Dušek, Král, Kříž

Agatha Christie - And Then There Were None      Jaroš, Nováková, Sichingerová, Řeháčková


Prepare a brief intro reflecting the choice of topic, the process of recording, and the results, benefits and drawbacks.


Interactive board:

Animals -  Alsanabani, Říha

Farm animals - Bekai, Klucová

Countries - Přívratský, Rund, Tomášek

British or American - Dufek, Kříž


Prepare the target group specification, the objectives, and comments to chosen activities. Reflect the process of creating the IWB material itself - problems, solutions.



Due to the short-term notice I was forced to choose the presenteers myself. My apologies. Presenting volunteers will be welcome!



3. Please DO NOT send the project as attachements to my email - our server does not allow us to send when the mailbox is full, so now I cannot answer before deleting all the 20MB+ emails :) Put your projects on any PERMANENT cloud - e.g. dropbox, google.... - and send me the link only, including the names of all authors.

You are also welcome to share the links in the excel chart, too, to enable others to see your work.

stated troubles with pronunciation - what is the solution?

benfits? 

background music - well chosen,needs some development or change, to play together with the effects


2. Agatha Christie - And Then There Were None      Jaroš, Nováková, Sichingerová, Řeháčková

  • technical problems
  • background noises
  • Q - why to read all descriptive sentences? y-n? (He laughed. David said.)
  • a nice little nervous giggle :) 
  • great effects of walking on the pebbles
  • was the pronunciation of some words checked? (menacing)
  • what is appropriate, a British or American accent?

3. Countries - Přívratský, Rund, Tomášek

  • for high school - why?
  • first 3 slides - just presentation to be read - how should the Ss work with it?
  • Do you know.. or What, Who, When questions - focused on pure knowledge, not inf. processing
  • video - a good language input, but not for B1 level
  • *Europa

4. Farm animals - Bekai, Klucová

  • activ inspire does not cooperate well with Mac
  • embedded files - do not forget them on a different drive
  • a bit silly video is the best choice :)
  • well chosen variable activities
  • lots of input and target language use - in context!
  • crosswords - problems with Cz fonts and instructions - try to install in English only; not suitable for dyslexic children
  • +++ matching English words with images (no translation!)
excellent job.

6. Lion King - Mufasa fall scene -  Přívratský, Rund, Tomášek

  • funny audio effects, known plot - playing with the story and the language
  • effects based on text understanding - a perfect language practice 
  • comments on the process of recording needed!
